This award honors a student in their first or second year at the Institution who shows leadership promise. Recipients are students who have made exemplary contributions to a student organization, living group, department, lab, dorm, initiative, campaign, international project, or team and have helped that group and/or effort grow through their participation. I received this award for my work as Test Engineer on MIT Rocket Team and Executive Board Representative for the Standard.
I was named a 2025 Patti Grace Smith Fellow, which recognizes aspiring aerospace engineers of color and connects them with industry partners and provides extensive mentorship. I attended the fellowship conference in Washington, D.C. in July 2025. (alongside me in the picture is former NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, a speaker at the conference)
I was selected to participate in U@Blue, Blue Origin's talent identification program for underrepresented minorities in the aerospace industry.
I was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award for volunteering for over 100 hours at my local library. I helped manage the library's collection, led enrichment activities for senior citizens, and taught English classes to Hispanic immigrants.
This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate man at MIT who demonstrates devotion to intellectual growth and a commitment to making their community a better place.
I received one of 6 national Tau Beta Pi Engineering Scholarships that recognize outstanding academic students who also focus strongly on community service.
I was recognized as a 2024 Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar for a commitment to pursuing excellence in college, career, and life.
In 2022, I was awarded the George Eastman Young Leader Award that recognizes high school juniors that display strong leadership experience at school and in the community, high grades and challenging courses, and extensive involvement in extracurricular activities.
