Hi, I'm Daniel Rojas. I'm a first-generation Colombian-American from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I'm currently a third-year undergraduate AeroAstro student at MIT. I'm motivated by a belief that humanity's destiny is space exploration, and I believe that the only way we can accomplish that is by being innovative and ambitious now.
In my time at MIT, I've been a part of the Liquid Propulsion and Controls division of Rocket Team as one of the team's test engineers and as the Fluids Subteam Lead. I was an undergraduate researcher at the Space Propulsion Laboratory and the MIT Election and Data Science Lab. I participated in NASA RASC-AL and NASA HuLC, in addition to competing in the Blue Origin Tepper Space Innovation Challenge. I'm also a part of the Standard, a professional and personal development program for men of color, and the Latin Dance Performance Team.
This past summer, I interned at SpaceX on the Raptor Components Team. I helped qualify the engine for flight through various qualification and characterization tests.
